1999 ke election ke baad uske Senate me appoint karaa gais rahaa. ^[1]

2003 me uu 14 FLP parliamentarians me se ek rahaa jiske Laisenia Qarase cabinet position offer karis rahaa aur uske Ministry for Transport ke ofer rahaa lekin FLP iske reject kar diis. ^[2]

2006 ke election ke baad uu House of Representatives me uu Labour Party Whip banaa. ^[3]

Baad me uske aur FLP leader, Mahendra Chaudhry ke biich me fuut hoe gais aur uu Chaudhry's choice of Senators following the 2006 election ke virod me awwaj uthais.^[4]
