Ami Chand, Fiji ke ek politician rahaa jon ki 1999 me Fiji Labour Party khatir Fiji ke House of Representatives ke Ba West Indian Communal Constituency ke jiitis rahaa. 19 May 2000 ke uske aur 42 aur People's Coalition Government ke member logan ke George Speight aur uske Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) ke Counter Revolutionary Warfare Unit ke member logan hostage banae liin rahaa. Uske 21 May 2000 ke chhorr dewa gais rahaa jab uu ek kaagaj pe sign kar ke Parliament se aapan seat se resihn kar diis.[1]
