Kapila, jiske Cakradhanus[2] ke naam se bhi jaana jaae hae, India ke ek sant rahaa. Bhagavata Purana ne anusaar, Kapila, sant Kardama aur Devahuti, Svayambhuva Manu ke larrki, ke larrka hae.[3] Kapila ke Samkhya school of philosophy ke suruu kare khatir jaana jaae hae.[4]
