Kosi, nai to Koshi ek transboundary naddi hae jon China, Nepal aur India se bahe hae. Ii Himalaya ke northern slope ke Tibet me aur southern slopes Nepal me draun jare hae. Chatra Gorge se iske Saptakoshi (saptakoshī) bhi bola jaae hae. Saptakoshi northern Bihar, se India me ghuse hae aur dher distributaries me bat ke Ganga me Kursela, Katihar district ke nagiich aae ke mile hae.[1] Kosi, Ganga ke Ghaghara aur Jamuna ke baad, tiisra sab se barraa upnaddi hae, agar isme ketna paani bahe hae, ke dekha jaae. .[2]
Kosi 720 km (450 mi) lambaa hae aur 74,500 km2 (28,800 sq mi) ke Tibet, Nepal aur Bihar me drain kare hae.[3][4]
